Excellence in Bilingual Education
Since 1987, WALKS•WEBS – Western Eagles Bilingual School has provided students in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, with a high-quality bilingual education from Pre-K through 12th Grade. Our commitment to academic excellence is built on three core pillars that prepare students for success in school and beyond.
Bilingual Education
Students develop strong communication, reading, and writing skills in both English and Spanish through a balanced bilingual learning experience integrated across the curriculum.
Active Learning
Our hands-on approach encourages students to explore, collaborate, think critically, and apply their knowledge through engaging, real-world learning experiences.
College & Career Readiness
Every grade level is designed to help students build the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need to succeed in college, future careers, and an ever-changing world.
Early Childhood & Elementary
Pre-Kínder to 5th Grade
From Pre-K through 5th Grade, students build a strong academic, social, and emotional foundation in a supportive learning environment. Through bilingual education in English and Spanish, they develop confidence, curiosity, and the essential skills needed for future success.
Middle School
6th to 8th Grade
The 6th through 8th Grade years help students build the knowledge, confidence, and skills they need for high school. Through engaging lessons and hands-on learning, students strengthen critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving while making meaningful connections across different subjects.
High School
9th to 12th Grade
Our High School program prepares students for success in college and beyond. Through challenging academics, bilingual education, and personalized college guidance, students graduate with the knowledge, confidence, and skills needed to achieve their goals. Since 1987, WALKS•WEBS graduates have continued their education at universities in Puerto Rico, the United States, and abroad.
STEM & Technology
Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas
WALKS•WEBS has invested in a signature STEM and technology program that distinguishes the school from traditional private school offerings in Puerto Rico. Students don't just learn about technology — they use it daily as a tool for creation, problem-solving, and innovation. STEM is integrated across grade levels from early elementary through 12th Grade, not siloed as a single elective.
Robotics Lab
A fully equipped robotics lab where students from 4th Grade up design, build, and program robots. The program competes in regional and national robotics competitions.
Coding & Computer Science
Structured coding curriculum across grade levels — from visual block coding in elementary to Python and web development in high school.
Science Laboratories
Dedicated lab spaces for biology, chemistry, and physics at the secondary level, equipped for hands-on inquiry and structured experimentation.
Technology-Enhanced Classrooms
Every classroom is equipped with interactive displays, reliable Wi-Fi, and student devices. Digital literacy is embedded in daily instruction across all subjects.
Built for the Careers of Tomorrow
Preparados para el Mundo Digital
WALKS•WEBS students graduate with hands-on experience in STEM fields that are driving the global economy. Whether pursuing engineering, medicine, data science, or design, they enter higher education with real skills — not just theoretical exposure. The robotics program, coding pathways, and lab sciences together form a coherent 21st-century curriculum that no other school in Mayagüez matches.
Bilingual Education That Opens Doors
At WALKS•WEBS, bilingual education is part of everyday learning. From Pre-K through 12th Grade, students develop strong communication, reading, and writing skills in both English and Spanish through an immersive learning experience integrated across the curriculum.
Our balanced bilingual approach helps students build confidence, think critically, and communicate effectively in both languages while preparing for college, future careers, and a global society. For decades, WALKS•WEBS graduates have continued their education at universities in Puerto Rico, the United States, and abroad, carrying with them the valuable advantage of bilingual proficiency.
